Ryan would have told Stephen off for being such a git, but as the tranq dart took effect, he grinned goofily. He laughed and waved his hand at the others.
“That’s s’okay…s’my fault for getting in the way!”
“Yeah, it was.” Stephen smiled.
“My bum hurts. You shot me in the bum!” Ryan laughed some more and then waved to Abby and Cutter as they stood over him. “He shot me in the bum!
“We know.” said Nick, smirking. “We saw.”
“Reckon he’ll kiss it better?”
He hoped so, but Ryan lost consciousness before he could find out
