I like to talk to people about their views, whatever they are, and I find way too often that people say they strongly support an issue --and then they can't explain why. Or they can't speak intelligently about the matter. Or they're in it for the wrong reason-- caught up with the hype and not the actual issue. It's so disheartening.

But I am such a pessimist, I look for the bad in the people more than I should I'm sure. (damn pessimist!)

hahaha. pessimism isn't a bad thing. (though sometimes annoying.. i'm in love with a pessimist)

i think i'm going to start pushing people more on why they feel a certain way and see if i come up with the same results!

see you at the parade on saturday :)

you don't like a lot of people. it's cool, though. I don't, too. but then again I think it's a sort of universal thing. people really are smarter than you [you= some folks] give them credit for, they just get fucked along the way and lose it here and there. blahblah

It's true i don't like a lot of people. I'm not saying I'm better than them though. I'm tremendously flawed, I realize this. I just notice things in people and can't help but let it out. Does anyone else think like me?? I wouldn't make fun of bumbling idiots, just the ones who should (and could!) know better.

And so of course there's a lot more to the people than I give them credit for-- that's what I'm wanting to see!

karly, i still know what you're talking about. its those lame-o's that aren't just temporarily messing up on communicating their ideas, its not the ones that are just ineloquent. its the ones who jumped on the bandwagon not because they want to get somewhere with it, but because they think the ride will be fun and cool. bandwagon analogies. geez, i'm cool.

It annoys the fuck out of me, too. It's better than being hip to be conservative, I guess. But I work my nuts off, and there's a handful of kids that seem to want to help. Nobody else can be seen for miles until it's time to celebrate. Half the fucks on the ULF email list are only there for the occasional free beer. So you do have a point. And liberalism as a whole is a distraction from the real problem. There should be a bit more to it than "can't we all just get along?"
