the tracks are well recorded and death after texas are one of the better bands in town, but they need to come into their own. they still sound exactly the same as most other emo/screamo/trendycore bands. if i were them, i'd sit down for a long time and rethink the direction of my band. they have talent, but within a few years they'll be a relic of a bygone era.
death after texas are a bunch of assholes who think they are the best thing to happen to lakeland and then don't suport other bands.. they think they are the best.. they are a cancer to the lakeland bands
Look, I don't like the idea behind this community because the purpose is taken way out of line. But this is meant to be constructive, right?
I know some of the guys personally, some hate me, some like me(I hope). Anyway. There are a few bright spots. Every once in a while there is a unique guitar section. But that is about it. No offense, but Brantly's "whatever it is singing-screaming" just doesn't sound good. Like, half the time it sounds like he is throwing up and stuff. He just doesn't have what it takes to cut as the lead vocalist of a band. I don't know. Clint's drumming sounds just like it did when The Colorside was together.
clint is one of the best drummers in lakeland. he is one of the few people that can actually play "around" the beat. all of those other drummers that play the cliche "boom, chick, boom, chick" nonsense suck. he is coordinated, keeps time very well, and adds a good sound to the band.
