Just because I'll be in SD, it doesn't mean I'll like the Padres!

It's been a constant 111+ degrees here for the last few days and sitting in a chair is like trying to sit on a Slip N' Slide especially when you don’t have AC. Because of this heat wave, everything from power, cable, to the Internet had been shutting down, and it’s just today that all three are finally restored (for now). Unfortunately a few ( Read more... )

Wow, Basic! You'll be ripped like Jesus!

111+ degrees?! I feel just awful to inform you that I had to wake up in the middle of the night to turn my AC down because it got too cold in my room. Hahaha. Ha. Hmm. Sorry. But at least you're being productive ... drink plenty of fluids, I guess. :(

I'm glad you got a place to stay! I knew it'd work out for you in the end. :)
What kind of deal, if any, did you have to strike?

Let's go to Comic Con next year! I'm sooo coming out for it!

Haha why do you girls think me chain sawing a tree is going to make me buff? It's backbreaking manual labor. I've been doing it all my life, from roofing, cementing to various construction/landscaping stuff. I'd much rather be sitting in an AC filled gym doing hammer curls for three hours than any of that!

I'll be staying at that place I showed you pictures of. It'll be me, my roomie and like 4 other girls.

Yes, let's go to comic con! I know some people who went and they said it was really hot last week there too and a few people in cosplay (hehehe) passed out from the heat. Wussies.

Oh, just. I've picked up and used a chainsaw only once in my life and post-experience I thought I would surely die. And this was in the Fall when it was much cooler. So, when I think of someone using a chainsaw for more than 20 minutes in 111+ degrees, I think MANLY STRENGTH! But maybe I'm just not manly strength. Aww.

Wow, 4 other girls? Crape. Have fun with that!

I heard Comic Con generally blew this year. But HA! to the heatstroked cosplayers! What were they thinking?! And yeah, I heard the heat in San Diego worse than it's been in about 15 years or something? Man. What's going on? I wore a jacket to Target to work this time last year and it didn't phaze me ... and I walked outside, uphill all the time.

LA was having a heat wave when I went on July 4th weekend, and there is this section of universal studios that you have to go down a lot to get to, and stupidly I decided to join my friend in RUNNING back up on the stairs. Fortunatly she was a small girl so she ran one step at a time, so I could keep up just by walking and skipping stairs, but I should have refrained from doing the last flight and also should have considered that she RUNS TRACK. I felt really sick for the next 45 mins or so and just layed down while my friends watched waterworld (until it got so full that I couldn't).

I've been talking to pokkiss who has been talking to athrak to help me get back online. The other day I managed to frankenstien a copy of 98se from three different versions of 98. Now, I need to get a wireless ethernet card and hope that it runs on my barely runable laptop.

Hecka frankenstein. But why not! Just because there are newer better versions of windows doesn't make older versions of windows any worse. Win 98 is perfectly fine for web browsing and word processing, including email. Just not hardcore photo or video editing or 3D gaming on old hardware.

Basiiiic what is the best way to contact you (the whole point of this reply)? Also, you've been spamming me on myspace, I think someone hacked your account.
