Man, this has me so bummed - certainly more than I thought it would. I only met Frankie Manning briefly a few times, but swing literally turned my life upside down 10 years ago, and I owe a lot to the man. I think I'll go pop in my Hellzapoppin' tape now.

Sigh.

yeah. just a few hours ago apparently. he was hospitalized a few days ago, and it just got worse and worse.
