I like it. Though I wanted it to be something more. something bigger. Mostly, I wanted to know why our narrator's boss got the hit put on louie. It tastes like a good portion of something larger, except for the end you placed on it. Almost forced. As if you demanded the bigger idea be something small and, what i call "flash-fiction."

but that's just how it seems.

Did a good job of giving our narrator a voice other than your own. I liked that quite a bit. caught a lot of the noir feel to it (which i'm pretty sure is what you were going for)... worked well for you. Dialogue sounds realistic, which is a plus.... What the fuck are Fripperies?
