I've read this a couple of times now and I think I'm finally good to leave a comment, cos this is beautiful if intense stuff. It's emotionally charged and heart squeezing but all of that's really good, your writing is excellent, and what's more your research is excellent too. You've obviously put so much effort into looking into things and getting them right and the result is a beautifully written chapter. Well done. I cannot express with words how much that means to me, Chucks. I have indeed done an absurd amount of looking into everything from libel cases for the trial to news from that time period to complex medical procedures, but such is the life of a writer. Thank you though, it honestly feels so amazing for that to be recognized. Not everything is perfect and accurate, but I do my best. Thank you so SO much <3<3<3

This morning, I didn't even know that this fic existed. It's now just gone 1am and I have read the entire thing. The only world I can think of to describe it is 'genius' right now, as I am more than a little emotional and somewhat frazzled!
Everything about it is beautiful - the progression of Dan and Jones's relationship, for one, but in particular, your writing. I've really enjoyed every aspect of it, to be honest!
