Read somewhere that if man wasn't an island he'll be too affected by the sorrows of others and likely drown in them. I guess one leaves the island now and then but run back to it for refuge, no?

eh, don't confuse the capitalist from green lah.

There are green capitalists (Switzerland/me) and ungreen capitalists (you) and then there are green socialists (sweden) and ungreen socialists (soviet union). The list goes on!

But you can't have it both ways! That means that you have subconsciously agreed to non-subsidised govt housing.. and of course, no tax relief on your rent.

i'm not confused. there's nothing green about the whole issue.
running tap = water = increase in utility bills = more money coming out of my pocket

unless we're living in a socialist state, then the entire country will have to pay for it.
whatevr happened to the good old days when people have to walk long distances to the well to fetch pails of water?
