NaNoWriMo!
Anyone else participating this year? Anyone else as nutty as me? I'm doing 160k this year! According to my tracking sheet, I'm on exactly the right word count as I should be... for tomorrow! I'm so far ahead! I'm on 21k!

What's everyone writing? Mine is a fantasy/romance/adventure/action/thriller (ikr?) based in three separate fantasy ( Read more... )

Just hit over 5000 about 15 minutes ago. Mine is fantasy with lots of magic and mythical islands. It also involves royalty. Sometimes I'm happy with it and sometimes I'm not. And I'm adding characters like crazy. I really need to stop that.

Good luck this year!

Oh, wow, that premise sounds ~amazing. I'm not doing NaNo (I've had a difficult time writing 10k in a period of 4 months :p) but good luck! If you need any ~cheerleading, or whatever, you know where to find me!

I always need cheerleading, Shan! ♥ Especially from someone as nice as you!

I've had a difficult time writing 10k in a period of 4 months :p

TBH, I know the feeling. Look how long it took me to get my big bang finished (-still twitches at the mere memory of it-). So, this mammoth writing challenge (and yeah, I know, the 160k is self-set) is mostly to get me back into writing fast and a lot. (I used to be able to do 3250~ words in 40-45 minutes. Recently I've been lucky to do 1000)

Not so sure the premise sounds amazing up there ^ but it's quite nice on metaphorical paper! There's an excerpt and summary here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/455370

I adore, like, stories with separate timelines and worlds, and stories that incorporate several different genres, so you've got me all ~intrigued. Those excerpts are fantastic, dude, I'm sure it's going to be ~amazing.

Wow, I am in awe of your word count and your goal! 160k! *dies*

I'm just doing a mini NaNo aiming for 25k so I wouldn't feel all too guilty for doing NaNo though I don't have the time (I'm secretly hoping for 50k, though.)

Mine is a fic about a pack of werewolves and two vampires on the run who have to learn to overcome their distrust and prejudices in order to survive... and keep from killing another first. In other words, I have no idea what I'm writing! XD

I think it is, but I just keep telling myself I'm slowly unfolding the story as I go XD
