Blair, This does sound "desperate". Slow down! Passing by the actions and people who are important to you because you have too much "stuff" to do, is a lifestyle choice. This is not about blame, but being overwhelmed is something you can change. It's true you don't set the schedule for finals, you don't set the schedule for family events, you don't set the schedule for baseball, or bassoon etc.... but you can put them on or off you schedule and you can set the priorities. Everyone is so caught up in the things they "have to do" or the idea that there is "no time". Fact is there is just as much time as there ever was or ever will be, there are just as many things to do as there ever were or ever will be... Now, when your 80 years old and looking back, what will matter most to you to have as memories, connections and experiences? O.K. forget that, be realistic, when you're lying awake at night and can't get the sleep you desperately need what reality would calm you and make you feel your time is well spent? We all get swept up ( ... )
