State of the bassbone

So it's been awhile, eh? Well let's get you caught up! Don't worry, it's mostly good. This won't be an emo hoodie-type post.

First the good:

I'm currently finishing up my Junior year at California State University, Long Beach. I have two semesters t o go with my Senior Recital coming next Spring semester. I'm still in the top wind ensemble and jazz band there and next semester I'll be in the brass ensemble and the top brass quintet. My Junior Recital last semester was a great success and there is high quality audio and video pending. I'll post here when that's up on YouTube. Also, after the competitive performance scholarship competition I am in contention for the top award. I'm guaranteed at least $1000 for making the finals. All in all school life is good.

Home life is pretty good, too. I'm still living with singersoul here in Long Beach and we are very happy together. We've recently (August) adopted a little calico kitty named Kaylee and even though she bites like the dickens she's our pride and joy. We are lucky to have our amazing apartment with our ridiculously cool landlady.

One dark spot in the home life was a breakin in our building's garage on Tuesday in which a couple cars were broken into and my bicycle was stolen. This is less than ideal. The management company that runs the building has been less than proactive in responding to this situation. Also, it turns out the security cameras in the garage are unreliable and the ones that do work were spraypainted over in a previous breakin. I also learned that the company turned down a Verizon FioS installation which would have made the installation of better surveillance easier and wouldn't have cost the company a dime on the grounds that they thought residents were happy with their current television and internet service. I am certainly not satisfied with my service and the breakin makes me even less satisfied. But that is a minor blemish on an otherwise wonderful period in my life.

Thanks for reading, and if you're interested in something I update more often than this, you can always follow me on Twitter or friend me on Facebook, though if you want to friend me there drop me a message so I know who you are. That's all for now!
