FWIW, i want to go to a few of those shows as well:
Sept. 25 Carolyn Wonderland (cuz Guy Forsyth is playing too, i think)
Oct. 2 Decembrists
Oct. 29 Webb Wilder (i'm taking off work to come down and see him)

I'm not sure about the Carolyn shows at Dan's. She also seems to be playing at the Duck about once a month, and Guy is doing shows there as well. And in Nov or Dec, they're doing a show together at the Duck. In general, I'd probably rather see her at Dan's, but I don't know if she does a quieter show at the Duck or not. (Seems more like a singer/songwritery venue than a balls-to-the-wall blues explosion setting. (In other words, if she sang full volume at the Duck, I don't know if the pictures would stay on the walls...)

How much Decemberists have you heard? I've got their newest album and like it quite a bit, but haven't heard their first 2(?)

Yes, dear. :) I really do want to catch you guys at some point... been forever since I've seen Rocky. (Listened to the soundtrack all the way through again last month for the first time in ages. And I know a guy who's in the UH theatre production that they're working on...) Maybe this weekend is a plan...

Webb Wilder and the Pogues are going the opposite direction on 290, so we're seeing both shows. We're seeing the Decemberists at ACL.

The Swell Season is, I suspect, one of those bands I Ought To Like but won't. I just couldn't get into the Frames.

Tonight we're hitting the Cactus Cafe to see Clandestine. Good times!

Put the movie "Once" in your Netflix queue. I haven't heard enough Frames to really compare, but I do like the sound of Glen & Markéta's voices together. Their performance at the Oscars was an outstanding moment, IMHO.
