A while back I volunteered to be a Wolfram Alpha contributor. They've finally gotten back to me an want me to notate tablature for guitar chords using Mathematica (they gave me a 6-month license of Mathematica 7 to work with!)

Reading the Jitter tutorial chapter on QuickTime. Explains a lot about why I couldn't do frame-based random access in my Processing code...

Last night I was fairly exhausted. The earlier schedule is catching up with me, coupled with the fact that yesterday the only parking space I could find for school was 1.5 miles from my class. Literally. I just checked on Google maps.

Programming languages
I'm starting to understand how Blaise Pascal, Oberon Zell, and Bob PL/M feel, having to share names with programming languages.
I've just discovered ChucK. Imagine my embarrassment when I was at SIGGRAPH and had folks in the NIME community ask if I was THE ChucK, (having seen my name badge). And I didn't even know about the language ( Read more... ) -

Todd Rundgren didn't make it to SIGGRAPH. So instead of meeting the guy who made Flowfazer, I ended up meeting the guy who made Electric Sheep. Not as cool, and not a particularly good speaker.
