No real suggestions on my end, but something to think about: Everyone, richest people in the world, usually end up deferring their loans for the first few years.
Heck, I tried paying mine for the first few years and now am deferring (all come due in August). It just makes the first couple of years easier for meeting bills. So you might want to think about that when doing your calculations. Another thing to think about, you won't be far from home, so if bills end up being tight, you can always say "Experiment 1 has failed, let's regroup and try again."
Just some things to think about in your equations.
Lovens!

And one more thing, don't worry too much (if you are) about growing "up and deal with things that everyone in life has to deal with" because they ain't much. I pay or don't pay some bills. They're pretty regular. Worst case scenario, my biggest decision outside of paying bills is "Do I go buy a case of beer or just go to spy bar?" In the end, I usually just go buy a case. Cheaper and I can still play video games.

For example: I've even had enough time to write a book.
Once you get past the initial, "On my own" view that makes everything look big and important, you quickly realize that nothing's changed, except that you now talk to your chairs...

Have you ever really wanted something so much that it was not even a question of "should I" or "shouldn't I"? You had to have it or do it period. If it's not like that now and its not an easy and clear decision, then maybe it isn't the best time for you to move out on your own right now.
I can really see the benefits of continuing to live at home and save your money for when you finish school.
You've got to do things in your own right time. If you're feeling resistance, then just let it be for now and decide to be open to the opportunity again when it's best for you. 

Good luck! 

For what it's worth, I was terrified to get my own place, and it has actually turned out to be wonderful. I mean, Andrew and I were really, really poor for the first year, when he didn't have a job, but I felt like we actually got really close because of that. It also makes you appreciate being able to buy crap like video games and McDonald's once you can again ( ... )
