Ok, so going off my birth control has had strange side effects.

Two are noticeable.

I want to have sex constantly.

I'm super attracted to random people I was never attracted to before.

One of these is a good thing. The other is mostly annoying. Stupid sex drive.

Why did you go off your birth control? You know, if you don't mind my asking.

I don't mind at all!!

Basically I had no sex drive, which isn't healthy for my age and relationship status. Ryan didn't mind, but it drove me nuts that I wasn't participating or interested in a very important part of a good relationship. So, I talked to my doctor, and she said that the birth control might be part of it. So, we decided to try it. We were totally right, it turns out, but it came with some other annoying things.

No worries, we use condoms now, and we're careful - so no babies. :-)

Not to tell you how to live your life, but I was worried for a minute there.

Also, will you be all right without it? I thought you needed it for reasons other than just controlling birth. Obviously you have discussed this with much more qualified medical professionals than me, I'm just curious.

Haha, no, no babies. My mom thought the same thing, by the way. I can barely afford a dog. A kid is not really in the works for me :-)

I needed it for intense nausea and basically horrid periods. I tried to go off once before and it did NOT go well, but that was about 6 years ago. My doctor said the older we get, the less periods affect us. She said we could try it and see how it went. So far, so good. I've only had one period, but it was actually suspiciously easy. So we'll see if that pattern continues.

I'll quote Joey Tribbiani. "I have two words for you: Threesome."
