Watching it now. Literally less than 30 seconds into it, i knew i wanted to own it. Even if the story sucks, the visuals are beautiful. Very artistic.

The story doesn't suck, but it's only a facsimile of the original. The ending is actually better than the comic book but the comic book really brings out the whole point of the endeavor better than the movie can (yes, the themes are there, but how one gets to that conclusion is a matter of quite a lot of character development). Reading the comic book makes the movie better. It doesn't, as usually argued, make it worse.

yeah. I thought there was too much drama, not enough action. Fighting was great and i wanted more of that and less sex. Still, visuals were beautiful and the idea of the story had a good moral. I had kind of an ah-ha moment at the end. I'm glad i got it at the end and not in the middle. So, great beginning, great ending, so-so middle.
