In case you haven't heard, Gustav may be headed our way. At least N.O. will be a little better prepared this time, and I believe evacuations will commence tomorrow. Here in Shreveport the whole Hirsch will be home to displaced pets, I'm glad to see; and other facilities are being readied for their owners

Sorry to hear about your health problems! Will be crossing fingers and hoping things get better and that you STAY DRY! I keep checking the projected storm track every time I turn on the internet. Talk about what the South does not need.

I had a mini stroke last week so it's back to the Doctor for me.

About the mini stroke--I don't understand it--I'm taking a high dose of BP medicine--Benicar, and still having problems.

Hope Gustav doesn't get CLOSE enough to pass me by. But thanks for your good wishes on both subjects.

You're right - "passes by" was not what I was aiming for. I hope Gustav dies before ever making landfall ANYWHERE on the continental USA.
