That Watching the(sic) Watchmen book is awesome! Bananas! I had the pleasure of thumbing through it at PotA. Gibbons star placement chart for the tumbling perfume bottle is ridiculous!
50 bucks for the book is a bit steep. If it's released as a paperback, perhaps I'll feel more inclined to buy.
I would say "I'd like to find the person who coined the term 'Graphic Novel' and punch him in the mouth" but I THINK it was Will Eisner and A) He's dead and B)He always seemed like a nice guy to me.
Now, see, you and me, we seem to understand that a comic is a comic is a comic be it Yellow Kid, Krazy and Ignatz, Spider-Man, Killing Joke, Watchmen, or Love and Rockets.
They vary in many, many ways...art, style, concept, and even maturity. but they're comic books.
Thing is, though...I'll admit that there's a place for those "I only read GRAPHIC NOVEL" monkeys. I mean, hell...At least they're READING them, you know?
