Oh yeah, casting has been going on for months. Some highlights: Sean Bean is Eddard Stark, Peter Dinklage is Tyrion and Lena Headey is Cersei Lannister.

Not just cable: HBO. But probably not until at least around this time next year. Plus, this is just for the pilot. No guarantee they'll pick it up...
