The first PhD in the family!

It's official, my sister passed her comprehensive written and oral exams. She is now a Palaeo-Oceanography PhD candidate! Yea! ^^

My sister has been working the past several years recreating the ancient climate of the South Pacific by drilling coral samples from New Caledonia. She has already helped in Global Warming science by discovering some errors in the "Little Ice Age" data and correcting them. We are proud. ^^

It's important to have accurate information for the on Global Warming climate models. Our family get together usually focus on science. So while other families gossip about who is dating who and what not, we talk about new discoveries in science. lol. -^
