DS has been asking for Dora, Boots, Diego, can recognize Caillou, Bob the Builder and Franklin - and ask for shows by name.

We have Rogers On Demand so I'm not worried about finding the programming when we need to take a little break from running around the house, and gets him into his chair so he'll stop moving long enough to eat.

Confession - at the 18-month marker when my girls were supposed to have 10 words, they had 2 or 3. I took them to First Words and they were screened in for clinical assessment. While we were waiting for that, I started letting them watch tv - and their language just exploded, dozens and dozens of words over the next 3 months.

I talk to my kids all the time, and I've had first words training to learn to encourage language out of slow children... I was doing all that.... but tv was the clincher, it made all the difference in the world to their language.

Now they are the most articulate kids I know for their age, they were reading at age 4, yes, strong-willed, but that's an asset right? I don't think tv broke them. *fingers crossed*
