You can talk to Russ at universalave.com(ca?). He own a repair shop up the street. He is very good.

That's nice, but universalave.com is in Toronto. Unfortunately I have a few friends that are, but I'm in Ottawa. Interesting prices on his website though. :)

The cost of the screens are a big part of the cost of the total laptop. I don't know off hand, but I suspect that it will cost you as much or more to replace the screen as it would to buy another laptop. If you don't need something screechingly fast, a lot of the second hand computer shops have second hand laptops now.

Try RETRO Computers at the corner of Bronson and Gladstone. That's where I got my laptop, and they're excellent.

I love when they post their hours on their website then pretend to close early...

I called at 4:52 this afternoon. Posted close time: 5:00.
