Photography Month

Some LJ friends have decreed September to be Photography Month. I don't know the first thing about photography as art, so I'll try photography as history.

Some disturbing and thought-provoking pictures there - each of those photos tells an important story. I'm glad you posted them.

There are some incredible photos there but I find the most disturbing one is, for me, the photo of the lynching 'party'. The expressions on the peoples' faces in that situation is something which I hope is never seen again.

Kim Phuc lives in Ajax, ON with her husband and two children now. I saw a special on TV about her a couple of years ago. As incredible as it seems the woman is serenity personified.
