I wish I could find a really scary movie! Maybe Blair Witch Project, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Twin Peaks, The Ring (the original Japanese film, not the Hollywood remake), aaandd...dunno. Exorcist? Nah.

I find most movies try to shock and awe instead of really try to spook the audience. I use to watch the foolish Nightmare on Elm Streets and Halloweens more for laughs than frights.

One movie that make me jump was Poltergeist. That was many years ago. Not many movies have scared me since.

Oh, and whenever snow is pristine white and untouched I think of a certain scene from The Shining. Walking in such snow after dark gives me the creeps still.

What are some of your scary movies?

Yes. Or just gross them out, which is juvenile and annoying.

The scariest movie moments I can think of are:
1. Wendy finding & reading Jack's manuscript in The Shining.
2. The conclusion of Rosemary's Baby.
3. Jeffries being spotted by the killer in Rear Window.
4. Going back quite a few years, the first time I saw the Wicked Witch Of The West mobilize her army of flying monkeys, it terrified me.
5. The first glimpse of Hannibal Lecter in his cell. By now, it's been parodied to death, but it was effective when new.
