So much fun!!!

How are you making out with the games (one so far, I think) on Sportsnet One?

As far as I know, no one in Nova Scotia has this station. There's a monopoly on cable providers and ours is not about to add this station. Even if they did, I am not paying for one more channel just because Rogers can move the games to it.

I'm starting to really dislike Rogers. I wish a great company or conglomerate would buy up the Jays!

I wrote: the CRTC, the Jays and Sportsnet. CRTC doesn't get involved (as if they should have approved yet another sports station when the current stations aren't filled with sports - poker anyone?). No reply from the Jays and a pro forma reply from Sportsnet that my concern will be forwarded on.

I think the Jays are having a great season considering. Last night was just one more example of men playing ball!

I don't subscribe to Sportsnet One, and you've just brought up a sore point. We'll be missing something like half of the Jays' remaining games because they're being broadcast only on the new station -- for which fans would have to pay an additional fee. It's beyond annoying, and I gather Jays fans have been flooding Rogers and the Blue Jays with letters of complaint. The Blue Jays' management is apparently complicit, since they get a substantial bonus for agreeing to have their games on S1. They're going to end up losing half their fan base, which was just beginning to really grow and solidify.

Liberal Party 70 seats, Labor 69 seats, Independents 4 - it's going to be interesting seeing if one of the major parties can govern with a minority party. The independents have the balance of power.

I'm glad that your team did well, though.

I'll acknowledge that your competition might be slightly more important than mine.
