Also, I see L says you are "near Manchester" - although I grew up in Australia (and now live in the United States), I was born at Hope Hospital (which I think is in Pendleton?) and lived the first few years of my life at Peel Green, which is where my grandmother still lives.

And I gotta say I think your family made the right choice moving to Australia, much more exciting than Manchester!

Don't even get me started on the evil ways of our mutual friend. Cigarettes have even been involved - and I had been so good for a year *coughcough*. The fact that I have no willpower whatsoever has nothing to do with it, it's all her fault, so you have my deepest sympathy (off to get the lowdown on just what she did to you).

Yep, Peel Green and Pendleton are both part of Salford. I'm glad my family moved to Australia, too. I really don't like cold weather ;)

I haven't been back for several years. The only remaining family I have there is my father's mother, and, well, as much as she's my grandmother and everything, we're pretty much strangers.

She can be bad re: cigarettes. I know. I managed to resist when she was visiting me, but that was probably due to not drinking.

(PS: If, for whatever reason, you feel like 'friending' me on LJ - well, this journal geeklite is more public and I use it mainly for talking about fandomy things. Not so much Supernatural (although I will fight you for Dean ;) more Stargate: Atlantis. I also have another LJ girl_clone which is entirely friendslocked and only for bitching about life and posting tragic 80s music videos from youtube ;) So if you want to friend either, both, or neither, that's fine with me, and I hope you don't mind me reading your journal).
