Today Nyanko supported me while I talked with my Human Sexuality teacher about the sexism in my other class. The result was hardly impressive. He wanted me to sit down with my other teacher and talk about how it made me feel. Want I should bust out my bongos and ask him to sing a rousting verse of kumbaya, while I'm at it? We both expected

In some cultures, being unwilling to get him fired for offending you could also be construed as a sign of weakness.

Doesn't sound like a fire-able offense to me...

I think a big part of being in college is that your professors act like themselves(for better or worse) and treat you like you can handle it. Say he were a coworker, would you be litigous, and sue him? Or would you defend your dignity in some clever way. I have found that the best thing to do with ignorant people is to let them suffer in the crampt quarters of their own limitations. Or as someone else said it better:
"Living well is the best revenge."
