Sok, I did the same thing while on a job for Frys.. Suddenly the system I was working on had a mind of its own. So I pulled the network cable, but the mouse still was moving so I yanked the power cord... And 1 min later I get a call from the support sys admin of the store asking me why my system shut down all of a sudden, I tell him and he informs me that it was him doing some maintance, to which I reply with a heads up would have been nice because I actually pay attention at work unlike others. He never ran maintanence again while I was around.
