So, I really don't want to try to mess with a veil. At the same time, I still kinda want one. I'm leery of buying one off the intertubes without knowing what it would really look like, but I don't want to spend $60 on a fracking veil I wear once.

So. Veil, or no veil?

Poll Veil or no veil?

There are clarifications in my vote so I'm not casting it yet but you can adjust the numbers or let me know which you feel.

There are two statements in your post and I want you to weigh which one is strongest. Do you have a stronger sense of wanting one, or a stronger sense of not wanting to pay.

If on your wedding day you would be even slightly more upset that you didn't have one, then you should buy one.

If on your wedding day you would be even slightly more upset that you spent money that you didn't "need" to, then don't buy one.

It is all about you being as happy as possible on your wedding day.

I'm a stingy wannabe Jew, and damn lazy. Plus we ran into a couple of unexpected expenses.

But at the same time I want to look pretty and bride-ish.

I don't know. My mom thinks I should have one. Maybe I should try to bridge the gap by saying, "You could help me look for options, and provide input, and if we find something I absolutely love [however unlikely] we could try to find something like that on the Interwebs."

when I used to play bridal dress-up, the veil was always the most important part!

but I'm not you, and vice versa.
