More boyish milestones
Things at work have been nothing short of intense lately. I'm not even sure why. They just have been. I've felt really overworked, and part of that is that I feel like I'm doing work that's beyond my pay grade. We had an interesting "visitor" on our back porch over the weekend. Parenting 101
I was thinking about my boy again (something very common.) He stood on his own the other day. Honest to goodness stood on his own. It was a weird even for us. We watched him do it. It's really not that bad a name if you think about it.
My son got the "grunkies" from his preschool. He's got a stuffy nose and had a fever over the weekend. It wasn't terrible, but we could have done without it. He's mostly recovered at this point, but still really snotty... as in boogery. I think he probably got it from a little girl named Lexi that's in his class, but has been out sick. Yes, Lexi. Addiction
We recently started watching "Lost" from season 1 (We've made it to the midpoint of Season 2). I cannot even begin to tell you how addictive that has been. Slow news day.
My son started Day Care this last week. It's been an interesting experience. He seems to like it, for the most part. It completely exhausts him when he gets home though. Which, I think, is a good thing. He also seems to be way smarter, just after 5 days of day care. I mean, just this last week he figured out how to climb up stairs, he's way better ( Read more... ) -

I've never been excited about a vacuum before. It's not the type of thing I would think I would be excited about. Yet, I am. I am excited about our new vacuum. It's a Dyson. It's not just a vacuum, it's a status symbol. I have envied the Dyson from afar ever since I first saw its ads and its lofty price. Now I own one.

Freeeeeeeedoooommmmmm!
My father helped us put a storm door on our house. The best part of the storm door is that it has a doggy door on it. I had no idea the amount of freedom a doggy door would grant us. You might think "oh, the dog has more freedom now," but you'd be wrong.The dog's freedom doesn't concern me. I suppose she does have more, but really, it's all about ( Read more... )
