KITTY!!!!!!

So, I have a kitty.
His name is Kiki, which is weird, but whatever.

My not at all harrowing tale of searching is under the cut.

I got him from Craigslist. This was the owner, A.'s, original post/plea for a good home:

KiKi is the greatest little boy Kat ever born in this big world. Smart boy with a gentle & loving nature. Talk to him, he will understand you. Want him to move along then just say 'lets go' and off he goes. He is a perrrrrrrrfect little domestic long hair who has had all his shots. He may not have enjoyed it but he has been 'fixed'.. He will play by himself or with you. I am moving as the owner of this house is now selling. I am going to move into a hotel room for now which is why I can't take my furry little kiddy with me. Breaks my heart to have been so blessed with such a wonderful friend but I may get relief if you are a good and loving person who will take over the charm of loving KiKi. He is about 1 and a half years old so you too will have many more years of companionship to look forward to. KiKi is so good that when he hears you open the front door, even if he has been sound asleep, he will come with sleepy eyes to greet you. Please adopt my KiKi Kat and give him a home.KiKi is an 'INDOOR' Kitty Kat ONLY!! He is to great and too precious to abandon.

I coresponded with A, and he said the following about Kiki:

I am so very pleased that you are asking about KiKI. Yes, he is a wonderful wonder. He is litter box trained and he does not have a malicious fiber in his being. He won't even play with his claws when people are involved. he does love to have his back massaged. He only meows when you speak to him and he is exactly as I described him in the ad. As for scratching furniture, he does not. I have things I will give you such as a cat tree about 3' high, a scratching pad and scratching box plus his litter box. These are things you must have for him to keep your expenses down and so he feels happy having his own things with him in a new home.

Surprisingly, despite his love of cats, the husband was rather nervous about the cat because he was already full grown and accustomed to one owner. I pointed out that a kitten would have to be watched carefully and trained, and even then, we couldn't be sure about it's personality. So I went and got Kiki last night.

So far, he is a very sweet and calm, relaxed cat. Even if he does have a wimpy name. I'm thinking of changing it to something with a "kee" sound, like Kyril, or Loki, the God of Cat Mischief.

Only problem is that Kiki if freaking HUGE. He's a normal sized cat, but he's fat! Which makes me sad because cat's bodies aren't meant to carry too much weight. He looks beyond pregnant. Poor kitty. He's got to go on a diet.

So now I give you pictures of my baby!

Alls I know is that if I'm this annoying about a cat, I'm going to be really annoying once I adopt kids.

me, kiki
