I think a small child outside my window just got struck by lightning. Or something. There was a loud CRACK! and then a child started screaming, and then I heard a few adult voices screaming and crying and now I don't hear anything.

I will cry if this gets passed.

if the child was hit by lightning, i think they would not have been screaming.. maybe, they perhaps would have been on the ground, possibly even unconcious...

Depending on where/how harsh the lightning was, they could be coherent.
