Last week's discussion question is still open for discussion (though, really, the discussion questions never close XD), but I figured I'd get back on schedule this week:
I honestly I see them being pretty close all through their lived, Bato was really supportive of Kaya and probably saw her also as a good friend. I can see Hakoda and Bato being the kinda buds that would go out hunting, drinking one might confide to the other.
After Kaya's death I can see Bato being there for Hakoda being a support for him. I can see Bato experminting with Hakoda which might causes some interesting feelings between them when they are at sea.
After the Abbey I can see Hakoda realizing that he has feeling for Bato and when Bato returns. Hakoda puts him back on his right side.
Who inaiates or when did things get romantic is really anyone's guess. I like to think they flowed together. over time :3
