September, where Oscar begins to rear his golden head. Where dark horses make their intentions known, and box office bounty is, well, lean. Historically, you get a nice mix of genre films and award favorites that want to beat the fall rush, and this year is no exception. Not monster tentpole releases, but there’s nothing really terrible either.
