It's called simply "Howard Hughes" and it's on their first album, Thanks for the Ether. They used to comment between songs at their concerts about his extreme constipation from his meds.
Hey Bev! Idols are always a good thing to have, and Howard Hughes was certainly a brilliant and fascinating guy. I have a touch of the ole OCD, but let's hope that it never magnifies into long finger and toenails for me! ;)
My father was an aviation mechanic and worked on some of Howard Hughes's planes. This was back in the 50's and my father didn't know who Hughes was for quite a while. My father worked for TWA and Hughes kept a lot of his experimental aircraft in hangars nearby. My dad saw Hughes working on one and casually walked over to ask him questions about it; they got into a long conversation about aviation, where upon Hughes invited to come work with him on my dad's off time.
My husband's father met Howard Hughes when he (Hughes) crash landed one of his experimental planes in a field near their house.
