haha, no, jen was supposed to come with us, but had too much work to do, so she can't make it.

i heard you saw them already, i assume it was awesome, right? unfortunately, the venue we're seeing them in has less than stellar sound...

Two impressions, they were slightly more boring than I remember, because they started the set with like 5 slow building epics in a row, and they were alot louder than I remember; at times I actually had to gasp for air. I'm kind of fascinated how they can manage that, especially since it sounded perfect at all times. If they don't have good sound I think you'd lose alot, but it will still be loud.

so, the throbbing gristle show a few weeks ago was the first time i'd heard any band sound great in that space. so, given that mogwai sounded amazing tonight, i think they actually must have gotten an entirely new array in there ( ... )
