(no subject)
I have a crappy webcam that my dad gave me a long time ago. It has a horrible picture so I never really used it. I decided after running across a nifty website to convert it so it sees only in infrared! And it works! How cool is that? :) I'll have to post some pics later.

After I put the camera back together, I thought it didn't work (uh oh.. I bwoke it).. UNTIL I figured out that the compact fluorescent light bulbs we use give off plenty of visible light but not enough (hardly any, really) IR. Once I threw in your standard incandescent lightbulb, everything worked all spiffy-like. I can't wait until the sun comes up so I can look outside with my new infrared eyeball :)
Notice how grainy the pictures are? That's not because they're in IR, it's because it's a crappy webcam. It looked like that before I screwed with it, only in living color!
