ok....so i've figured out the source of most of my discomfort and confusion in the xmen movies.
prof x is a pedophile.
there are way more kids at the mansion in the movies than there ever was in the mansion in the comics. more often than not, the adults outnumbered the children. but in the movies...they had more kids...and apparently no other adults other than jean, storm, scott, prof and wolverine.
and they ran off ALL THE TIME. leaving the kids unsupervised.
if they didn't, they must have had other teachers...where were these teachers tho when they had to run to battle and only had kids to back them up?
and if there really was only jean, storm, scott, prof and wolvie....prof x's recruitment skills SUCK BALLS for adults. he can only get kids? why only kids? what kind of sick perverted motive did he have? pedophilia!
if some crazy old bald man in a wheelchair came to your house and asked to whisk yer kid off to the uncharted territories of massachusets...would you say yes? or would you say "are you a pervert?"?
tho they might not have had much choice in the matter since prof x was apparently getting into everyone's heads and making them do his bidding...
