[After their encounter with Darkleer, Karkat had wanted to get away from the blueblood, not trusting his intentions should they happen to stumble across a troll even higher on the hemospectrum than Gamzee. The two of them decided to head back towards the hospital in hopes of finding either medical supplies, allies, or at the very least a shelter

[Karkat and Gamzee aren't exactly difficult to hear coming; unfortunately, with Jadesprite in tow, it's pretty hard for John and company to stay quiet themselves. The shock of waking up in this horrific situation was mediated by the fact that he wasn't alone; Jade was here, and so was Jade! Two Jades, which was awesome; or so John thought, anyway. Things looked pretty bad, but they could handle it together.

He turns to both girls, looking serious for once in his life. A friendleader's gotta do what a friendleader's gotta do.] They don't sound too dangerous... I'm gonna go try to talk to them. Maybe they're friendly!

[He pauses when he hears rustling and snatches of someone talking, although he can't quite make out the words. They're not exactly in any shape to make a run for it, so he nudges Karkat in the side a little.]

You hear that?

[He puts his finger to his lips immediately, glaring at Gamzee. He can't run, not on his hastily bandaged broken leg. Even walking on it is agony, although he's doing a good job pretending otherwise.

Their best bet is that they aren't seen. Their other best bet is the gun; he has a new magazine loaded in and he thinks he can shoot without shaking this time. The barrel of his gun is pointed in the direction of the noises, and he's standing stock still, finger on the trigger ready to shoot.]

[ She hears someone else talking and stands perfectly still, unsure of what to do. ]

John, [ She's whispering, not sure what else to say other than: ] John, get down, we don't know that and they might hurt us!!

[ Jade's still wary; the early morning of exploring and finding John and Jadesprite was fun, but the idea of having to kill people lingered in her mind. Was this Dave? Rose? Someone else that she knew? So instead of heading forward, she crouches to the ground.
