There's a party on the phone?? Rats!! Here I am without any noisemakers!

[ Ilsa chuckles. ] Not quite, but sometimes we do get chatty. You don't really dial the phone so much as you try to convince it to filter the call to who you want to call.

Do you mean a switchboard operator? Ooh, it's been so long since I've talked to one of them!

Almost like it, though I haven't heard an operator since I got here. Sometimes filtering fails, and we hear interesting conversions, so keeping to the old telephone rules is a good idea. It's a good way to get everyone's attention, but not a good way to keep a secret.
