strange evenings

There are a bunch of things I've been meaning to post about! I'm going to break it all up into a few different entries, I think.

The NYC Evening [about a month ago]
Dang, this is long. )

An excellent read! It was nice to get the full story so intricately and colorfully described.

Thanks! I had a lot of fun reliving it all as I wrote.

I wish I knew of somewhere like Mehanata in B'more!

My main clubbing outlet in B'more is Elecktroshock, an every-other-week Saturday night industrial-themed dance event at Grand Central in Mount Vernon. I like the music and good peeps go... you're welcome to come with if you think you might enjoy it.

DC might offer us better options for crazycool venues.

I don't know if I would like it, I love to peoplewatch though so no matter what else I would enjoy sitting in the corner and watching everyone =)

I also like to dress up.

I'm not a good dancer. I have my own style called "Christine Interpretive Dance" and it mostly consists of waving my arms around and wiggling my hips completely Out Of Time to the music ;)

I think I've been to the venue in the East Village you mentioned when a friend was DJing. I don't know why, but it seems the NYC goths only come out on Saturdays. I just learned that my favorite event (and the biggest in the city, to my knowledge) closed in 2007. Guess the scene really is dead, that's a real shame. Really glad you found and awesome place to spend the rest of your evening though!
