I often use music as a shortcut into a particular mood or emotional state to help me develop scene ideas and figure out the blocking for scenes. I rarely write to actual music unless I'm writing on public transportation using my headphones to block out outside noise. I like all these songs, but I'd say the ones that resonate most for me are:
