We were at sea, and had to struggle to get up for our 9:00 a.m. start time for the day's 6 games.

Game 12 vs. David Whitley (L 354-380)

Bingos:  FlAXIER / WETLAnD

That massage was heaven!

Rosalie was *SUCH* a good sport! I'm glad she was there mainly on vacation than just to play Scrabble. I can't imagine anyone staying that positive if they were holed up in some random hotel in the midwest for 2 weeks as opposed to cruising the high seas. No offence to the midwest. Well, not much anyway.

I just skimmed over the bingos. I can't understand how BAREFEET* is phony and BAREFIT is a word.

Yeah, with BAREFOOT being obviously good, it seems kind of logical that BAREFEET* would be too. And BAREFIT is just silly. But then you start to think it should really be BARE FEET. I was actually leaning towards thinking that it was phony when I played it. I just figured I could probably get away with it, particularly because I was using a blank.

Glad to hear Shelley's getting acupuncture. I'm amazed at what it did for my chronically inflamed knee. A minor problem I had for 20 years cleared up after only a couple of sessions, & has stayed fine for months.

Shelley has had a fear of needles since childhood, but by bravely trying acupuncture, she's basically got over it now. She gets acupuncture at home too - she started probably around a year ago. She gets it done mostly for her knees now, but originally she used it for her hands and forearms, which are prone to tendinitis. She had surgery on both arms for carpal tunnel syndrome, but that didn't alleviate the pain. It wasn't until she tried acupuncture that she became virtually pain-free. Now she only goes on the odd occasions that her muscles really tighten up and need to be "released".
