Name: Sasha Nein
Canon Origin/Series: Psychonauts
Teaching Position and why it suits them: Wandless Magic , Sasha in his canon is a powerful psychic so I figured to easily translate his abilities over I would make him a wizard who melded into the wandless magic category quite easily (Perhaps by learning how to control his early bouts of accidental magic into something more manageable). I think this would be a good class to be had at Hogwarts to help prepare the students for any situation that might occur, such as a broken wand in a life-or-death situation where you just need to get out. Perhaps to get into it one would need a letter of recommendation such as an AP class. In the Harry Potter world, it was shown that people were willing to teach it except seemed to prefer their wants because it pulled the magic out more naturally.
If this is not a possibility, Divination please. Mostly to work off of Sasha being canon a psychic.
Gender: Male
Age: 30
Out of school living location: Dresden, Germany
Blood status: Half Blood
Personality: He has a controlled personality, not one to easily panic or go off guard. He looks at things through logic. He sets his priorities and follows through with them not letting other things get into the way. Sasha has a very mathematical mind and will think too much on something (almost as if he is in his own little world.) He is often seen down in his lab working on expanding his knowledge. He cares little for the fame being a top-class Psychonaut had brought him, and in fact doesn’t even seem to notice that people idolize him.
His mind is portrayed as a black-gray-white cube in which he keeps things hidden away and controlled. But he will even admit it isn’t good to be 100 percent controlled all the time (his mind has often been related to ‘Obsession’ in fact that many figments of his imagination are of cockroaches and cleaning items. While the others seem to relate to his childhood.)
Canon Background: Sasha was born in Germany as the son of a shoemaker. His mother was a sweet woman who loved her son very much but grew sick and died when he was young. His father fell into a depression leaving Sasha with many questions about just who his mother was. When Sasha was in his tweens he decided to ask his father about her and alas was brushed off about it. So, he used his psychic ability to delve into his mind. He saw that his father thought of Sasha’s mother as a wonderful woman and is surely in Heaven. But, Sasha delved a bit too deeply and saw that his father did see his mom as a sexual figure and quite truthfully that freaked Sasha out so he promptly ran away from home. Once he was out on the streets he got a job working at a lamp-factory making Tiffany styled lamps and had a miserable time doing so (to this day he has an extreme hatred for the lamps considering them ’So ugly that they must die’ and that when one is destroyed the world is a better place. In his mind, the Lamp Factory is seen as a Metropolis-style building with fire shooting out of it.)
He eventually left the Factory and got a job as a ’Psychonaut’ a secret-agent for Psychic affairs that fight the bad guys in their own minds. He was partnered up with Milla Vodello- The Mental Minx- and a specalist in levitation. Together they became the stuff of Psychonaut legend (all the little spoon benders want to grow up to be them) and eventually they became camp counselors down at ‘Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp’. During summer orientation one day, the hero of the game (Raz) snuck into camp and interested Sasha intensely (wanting to perform experiments on him and help him with his growth as a psychic. He sees Razputin as a short version of himself.) and thus once Raz passed ’basic braining’ he told Raz to meet him in his lab and put him into the ’Brain Tumbler’. But, the young Psycho-Cadet needed various tools and he sent Raz to get the things needed (such as Marksmanship-Training permission and an Oarsman’s badge to learn to levitate ) but right after he sent Raz in for the last time, he would be brought here.
Background (AU!Canon; HP): Sasha’s AU history starts off much the same way as his canon history with very little things changed. Sasha was born in Germany as the son of a full-blooded witch and a shoemaker- making him a half-blooded wizard in a liberal sense of the word. His mother soon fell ill and died, leaving his father going into a great depression. Well, as Sasha got older he started to discover his own magical abilities and not wanting to cause any chaos worked on learning how to control them-although not by much. He didn’t know it was magic and thought he was psychic. When he was 10, he finally decided to see if he could use his magic to find out about his mother. So using a much weaker form of Legilimency he tried to read his father’s mind. That’s when he found out what a sweet and kind woman she was. He also got to learn his father still had the sort of thoughts a man would have of his wife.
Sasha soon got lucky and was given a letter to go to Durmstrang , where then he packed up and left to go to the school not giving his father any information where he was going. Luckily one of his Aunts who was a witch found him on his way to school, gave him a proper tongue lashing about going to the first school that would accept him because if anything she would have wanted him to go to her Alma Mater of Hogwarts. But that didn’t change his mind as he decided he wanted to go to the Slavic school. There he experienced some slight discrimination for being a muggle-raised half blood but he also decided to show them that he was above all of that as he excelled in anything scholarly he put his mind to, showing an extreme talent for any of the magical abilities that could be considered ‘Psychic’ including wandless magic. He left the top of his class and soon met an old Auror by the name of Ford Cruller, who took the young adult wizard and helped him learn how to control is abilities more so before being able to go in and become an Auror himself.
Once he stepped foot into the office, he was partnered up with a witch of Brazilian descent named Milla Vodello, and together they became somewhat famous for always completing their missions perfectly. Even getting a comic that starred them (True Wizarding Tales) and became the hero of thousands of fledging magical children. Eventually, he decided he wanted to help teach some students on his own along with using this as a chance to sit down and work on some private research of the human mind so he sent out applications to the various wizarding schools. Then doing what he did with his school choice and just accepted the first job offer he got, he packed up his things and told the Aurors he would now only do that in case of extreme emergencies. Thus how he arrived at Hogwarts. He is currently studying on how to be an animagus.
