Dieses ist unmöglich.

...But it's real, and it works perfectly. Better than my old brain tumbler, even. That definitely wasn't an ordinary man.

Now I just need some aspiring psychics to try it out. I may need to alter some settings, but I should be able to get it to work with someone...

Hm, but this place has an interesting collective unconscious. ( Read more... )

wtf, brain tumbler, looking for guinea pigs, christmas

Ah, just referring to my gift from, erm. Santa Claus. Ach, never thought I'd say that again. It's really... quite impressive.

That's nice, but I'm wondering what a brain tumbler is.

A very expensive piece of equipment. It lets the user travel into their own mind in a conscious state, allowing them to study inner parts of their psyche. A gave a more thorough description to the boy in the comment below, if you're interested.

I'm still wondering just how he managed to get it up here, though. I think I would have noticed if someone was teleporting such a large object in the building, not to mention brain tumblers are very difficult to get ahold of.

I'm glad you asked. The brain tumbler is the latest advancement in psychic technology. It allows the subject to explore their own mind in a conscious state, giving them the opportunity to identify personal issues, mental instabilities, decipher complex dreams--the possibilities are endless.

However, so far its use is limited to psychics. Because of the amount of psitanium in the core, it has a tendency to have horrible side-effects on most people.

Something like that, by the sound of it. The brain tumbler's main use it to enter your own mind, but with some practice you can also use it to enter other peoples minds.

Ja.

...But what will happen to those "aspiring psychics" who try that gadget out, baby?

bauhausmind December 17 2007, 22:33:54 UTC
I hope you're not assuming something horrible will happen. I'd lose my job if everyone I worked with went insane. The brain tumbler is perfectly safe most of the time.

Besides, it's not like I can operate the machine and use it at the same time.

I was just asking. You never know with a mix of science and paranormal. My people did awful things with some of their technology, so excusez-moi for my suspicions, since I've had my base to mistrust scientists. Even if they were secure experiments, there might be exceptional side effects in a tiny percentage.

Ah, I see. But I assure you, I'm very careful with my experiments. The last thing I'd want is to lose money on a failed experiment for someone to get hurt and sue me.

Of course, a few risks always have to be taken if you want to make progress in anything.

(OOC: Oh Sasha, of course you care~ <3)
