I suppose I'll update now. I've just moved in with my host family here in Tokyo. After ten days of orientation or, as I and the rest of the students came to find out, an intensive 10 days of Japanese review, I'm glad to finally be here. I'm glad that you are having a good time so far. I haven't gotten that sick or drank NEARLY that much because I have to ride a bike home and be home by 10:00pm. Earlham students have a trip through Kyoto and Hiroshima between October 1-7, and we plan on getting absolutely plastered in Kyoto (our rooms are in the lively college-aged section of town). After that Isaac and I (at least) are going to Tokyo to spend three days of free time before making it back up to Morioka. Did you get a cell phone?
