Coltin'sspare bedroom was becoming something of a prison. Yes, she understood that he was concerned, and that her health was of paramount concern to everyone in her family. But it was crisp outside, the wind was blowing, and all she wanted to do was to take an invigorating walk in the cold air of the outdoors. So she waited for Coltin ( Read more... )

[And walking up to her, because really he just wants to know...]

How did it feel getting yinz brains blown out? Like really, I'm itching to know, 's all.

I dunno, how's it feel to have a rapist on your football team? [oh wait - that's an admission she pays attention to football.]
I imagine it hurt - but I don't remember shit about anything. So, roundabout?

Fuck if I know.

Feels fucking sweet, shit has nothing to do with the guy's playing. Just like with Philly having a dog killer on his team. least he ain't rapin' anyone on the field.

Though I blame the question on my curiosity, is all. Damn you Coasties are somethin' else. Most be something in that water of yours. [Says the guy who identifies most with the Midwest than the East Coast.]

What made you go on a rampage like that? Because it sure seems like I miss all interesting events.
This place sure has good timing when it whisks you away.

I just told you I don't god damn know. [not that she's going to remove those oversized sunglasses of hers to show off those black eyes. nope.]

When you die here - it takes away shit. So I don't remember how I died, or why. [sighing. just go away pittsburgh. you don't even speak english correctly. plus, well, being pittsburgh is just a downgrade no matter how she looks at it.]

[Walking outside in his usual posture (hands in pockets, head lowered, somewhat menacing), it certainly is a surprise to see someone he was very sure was dead last he checked walking the other way. Yes, walking. Walking like what either living people or zombies do, and she doesn't look too bloodthirsty. So, eyes wide, back straightened, suddenly looking the six feet tall he is instead of the five-nine he sometimes makes himself to be.]

Uh... This is the part I say 'holy shit', right?

[she raises her eyebrows momentarily back at him, but shrugs in the end. what is there to say to that, really? she can't blame him for being surprised. so she'll just give a rather lame shrug.]

You can do that, if you want. Or you could just say 'hey' too.

[Well, consider him pleasantly surprised.]

Then, holy shit and hello.

[she can't help but laugh, pushing her sunglasses up to make sure that those uncoverable (and trust her, they are uncoverable. she's tried so much make up it could sink a ship and it's still obvious she has black eyes) black eyes are indeed covered.]
How've you been, hm? Opal said you brought coffee - I don't know if we've figured out what to do with it yet.

[first bomb drop - she's forgotten that she loves coffee. fuck you, hq. :C]

Ah. [ Manages a half-smile through his surprise. ]

Looks like the Old Man was right. You are back. And here I was worried for nothing. [ Smile drops as he remembers what he wanted to tell her. ]

I should have listened to you when you mentioned having enemies. I apologize.

Heh. [she smiles, shrugging her shoulders a little.] It's alright, not your fault. I wouldn't expect you to get in on my drama anyways.

[pushing her sunglasses up, she tips her head a little.] How have you been, hm? Hopefully not too worried?

Well, I do hate drama.

[ Shrugs, feigning indifference and failing terribly at it. ] Not incredibly, but still to some extent. Your bo--I mean, it was pretty gruesome. And the man standing over you and the other dead guy, he was a huge creepster. Was talkin' to himself and everything. I'm more worried about what might happen in the future if that man is an enemy of yours.

Very...unstable.

Yeah, so I heard. Not surprising though - Will's always been a bit of a ... follower.. to put it kindly. Thinks Sven's a fuckin' saint even if he'd watched him spay someone out right in front of his eyes - [and then she stops herself, stuffing her hands in her pockets again.]

I try not to bring it up around home, though. You know, Mom, Dad, and the ex-husband don't take too kindly to hearing about them - or even me asking about it, so... [she shrugs lamely.] I guess I'll just have to wait..

[ moving to her side he doesn't even notice zak, how's that even?! right now coltin's brain is focused on lulu and anyway to get her home. lowering his voice he speaks through clenched teeth though it's funny because his baltimore accent slips out. ]
Tally, you can't be running around like this. You're too...noticeable. C'mon let's go home an' I'll make you somethin' to eat.

No, thanks. I've been bunkered up in your damn spare room for about two days too long by now. Anyway, I've got Zak walking with me, and I'm not completely crippled. [she returns it with just the same type of restrained hostility.]

I haven't even run into one person who might have it out for me anyway.
