Gotta love bad translations. I'm watching noein and they're talking about the multiverse theory. As they're talking about sand on beaches they're showing schrodinger's cat. I guess they figured that americans who are awake at 11pm can't deal with dead animated animals.

Oh yes, best driving music one the way home I've had in a long while. Started out with the mighty might bosstones, followed by some no doubt. Something crappy came next followed by some half decent stuff (nothing from the past 15 years) the rest of the way home. Most of you won't appreciate it, but I was thoroughly happy.

So I finally upgraded my debian install to the latest stable version. It seems great. I only have two problems. It is slightly slower, but that happens with system upgrades. It also screws up the fonts every single time I upgrade, it makes them all smaller. This tends to screw up my web browsing experience. Text gets too small to read and ( Read more... )

for some unknown reason, while taking a shower, I just designed a low speed, high torque pnumatic engine, built out of parts lying around the scene shop. I don't exactly know why I did this, but its probably a good thing I don't keep grease pencils in the shower.

I've come across something weird, logical yet weird. in inkscape the zoom function increases in a srange way. It doesn't double, or increase by 50% every time. It zooms by a factor of the square root of two. Logically this makes sense if you want it to take two zoom clicks to double the size. so there is this movie called "the number 23". This movie decided to sponsor the scifi channel's rebroadcasting of Doctor Who. So today's Doctor Who was brought to us by IHOP and "the number 23".

That movie will now be forever associated with sessame street.

I was thinking about names for cats for some reason. I came up with the name "5", but then quickly rejected it. It would be amusing to about 1% of the people I know for about 3 seconds, everybody else would just be upset that I named my cat "5".
