I don't know what makes some people stronger than others either. If you ever find the answer, please let me know!
I sure hope Ann gets remission again. It sucks that...life is so unfair. It truly is. It sounds like she truly deserves a cure, but we don't all get what we deserve. I'm glad you have a friend like her.
From what I understand there is no remission possible but just now keeping the beast at a dull roar. She really is amazing. And I don't say that in any kind of patronizing way. It's just true. Hugs.
Your friend is in my thoughts ... life is unfair, and some people face so many things while others seem to give up so easily. Sure, one must not judge or compare hardships, but it sure seems like some people are just dealt all the bad cards and overcome it with much more grace than most people.
I try very hard not to judge because I don't know what others struggle with. But you're right. Sometimes it seems that the most undeserving people get the short end of the stick. Hugs.
What a beautiful tribute to a wonderful-sounding person.
I've also often wondered where the strength against adversity comes from for each person, and what accounts for different people being able to withstand different amounts of discomfort, pain, inconvenience, tragedy, and what have you.
Terrifically written as always. Thanks for giving us yet another glimpse into the people you've known in your life. your world is not boring. *smile*
And, of course, I hope Ann's medical treatments aren't too taxing on her and that she can come through them victorious.
"Ann" really has more strength than anyone I've ever known. I'm sure her positive attitude toward life has kept her going. Sure she has her days but she gets up and does more in a day than many healthier people do. She's pretty special.
