I loved the scholarly dog who disdained being bothered while working, and the idea of Yancy and his stubborn convictions about who was in charge just cracked me up.
He needed to show me cars; whether they were a car I was heading for or some strange car that caught his fancy.
That must have been so utterly bizarre! And clearly very important to him, for some unimaginable reason.
The hardest part is that there have been so many of these wonderful animals. It must be so very hard to love and have to say goodbye to each of them in turn.

Cash was such a snob! He took his work very seriously and only allowed a certain few to be elevated to his level! hahaha.
All of my dogs have had distinct personalities and even though they worke (ed) for me they also have had an effect on others' lives and many grieve when they pass. They are very special. Thanks for your thoughtful comment!
